Membership is open to all Abu Dhabi residents interested in singing. Our membership is made up of novice performers to seasoned professionals (and everything in between). We rehearse twice a week, Mondays from 7:00 - 9:30 PM and Saturdays 10:00am - 4:00 pm (depending on your role).

Joining the group, albeit fun, comes with a few responsibilities for all members:

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Members are asked to pay annual dues of 150 AED, which help offset our operational overhead including music acquisition, show rights, space rental and band/accompaniment costs. In addition to the annual dues a 'spring show fee', determined by the requirements of the elected production, are required for participation in the spring musical to help offset production costs. This fee is established before auditions.

ATTENDANCE

Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 1900 – 2130 pm at New York University Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island. As the season progresses and we near performances, rehearsal times are extended to include extra time for sectional and ensemble work in addition to tech and dress rehearsals. A strict attendance policy is enforced to ensure production value for all.

PRODUCTION EFFORTS

In addition to rehearsals and performances, each member is expected to help pick up the slack in various production efforts including but not limited to: set painting, prop making, cleaning venues, ticket sales and load-in/load-out of venues. It's a collaboration in all aspects of the word.
